Pain is temporary…Quitting last forever!

by admin

Love this quote!….

“Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.”

~Lance Armstrong

Isn’t this the truth. We think that working out is Hard and sometimes we want to skip them..but when we think & see the Results from all of our  hard work we put into it - we can handle the pain for a hour… I think the hardest thing about working out is getting into the right state of mind and understanding that if you get up and work hard for an hour out of your day the results will out weigh the Pain !! Work Hard and Never give up!!

Michele,
Thanks for the post because it’s so true. As I’ve been a runner for many years, often the hardest part is just getting out the door. Feel great when I’m back compared to the pain of blowing it off.

Great quote. If you stick with something for 30 days, it will be a habit. Then it won’t feel like a chore. You will look forward to it :)

So true! I’ve lost 50 lbs over the past year, but the last 5 lbs. have been the most rewarding because I’ve been pushing myself harder and starting to see physical changes!

Great point! Life is an investment and without putting in the work, the results are unlikely to come.

When asked how he broke nearly every record, hockey great Wayne Gretzky said simply, “I went to practice.” Its the simple little things that lead to the greatest successes. Its the Slight Edge in action. Never ever quit!

This is so true!! I wanted to skip my workout SOOOO bad last night. I had to do Back and Biceps and I was so exhausted after a long day at work and I kept making excuses and procrastinating. I’m so glad I did my workout and so were my back and biceps. LOL
